"A Backstage Tour of the Maltz Performing Arts Center"
Jason Cohen started his performing arts career as a stage manager in New York City over 20 years ago. After five years of stage managing, he worked for a talent agency, a Broadway Producer, a theater construction company, and the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. He then left New York City for Wisconsin and worked for the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts and the historic Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. Jason started at the Maltz Performing Arts Center as a staff of one a week before the inaugural concert Violins of Hope in 2015. Now, nine years later, with a team of seven, Jason leads the Maltz Center into its busiest season yet hosting nine different series and over one hundred events.

American Red Cross Blood Donor Day, December 5, 2024
The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency blood shortage
The nation faces the lowest number of people giving blood in 20 years. Blood and platelet donations are needed now to help alleviate the shortage and ensure lifesaving medical procedures are not delayed.
Over the last 20 years, the number of people donating blood to the Red Cross has fallen by more than 40%.
Additional challenges lie ahead as winter weather and seasonal illnesses like the flu and COVID-19 may compound the dire blood supply situation the nation currently faces.
Blood products are currently going to hospitals faster than blood donations are coming in. In recent weeks, the Red Cross has had to limit distributions of some of the most transfused blood types to hospitals.
Make an appointment to give blood or platelets now by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, visitingRedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
