Join us for Rotary Works! this Thursday, Aug. 13th
Starting at 11:30 a.m. utilizing the same link for our speaker below. We will use Zoom breakout rooms, keeping each room to no more than 8 people. This is a great networking opportunity affording everyone to socialize in a small group setting, you will share business or personal success or failure stories, explain what a good referral is for your business and talk about what you or your business have done differently during the pandemic. This will conclude at 11:55 a.m. just in time for our regularly scheduled meeting

YOUTH SERVICE COMMITTEE: This committee develops and implements projects and programs which directly aid young people or stimulate the community’s appreciation of their worth and potential. Committee projects include: Thesmacher High School Recognition Day/New Generations Conference; R.Y.L.A. (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) Program; Achievement Centers for Children; and provide scholarships through College Now scholarship program.
YOUTH SERVICE SUB COMMITTEE ROJECT YESS: Project YESS (Youth Empowered to Succeed through Sailing) is the legacy project of the 2010 and 2013 Cleveland Tall Ships Festivals which we were Port Organizer for. This committee reaches out to students age 14-17 to help provide direction, develop courage, confidence and community leadership and to open student’s eyes to unique career opportunities that exist in the Great Lakes Region. Project YESS students develop teamwork, leadership, safety and navigational skills during an extraordinary land-based curriculum. Graduates then sail away aboard a tall ship, where they apply the skills that they have learned.

What are you doing in your community during these unprecedented times? Since we are currently unable to volunteer in large groups, we are looking for ways to connect and share in activities that our members are participating in on their own. Please feel free to invite a Rotary buddy to your next activity if you feel comfortable doing so. Together we can continue to do good things in the community even while we are still apart.
