Project YESS is a legacy program developed by the Rotary Club of Cleveland. YESS students work to develop teamwork, leadership and navigational skills during an extraordinary 5-session land-based curriculum that includes a boot camp, water safety, seamanship, celestial navigation, environmental awareness and a Cleveland sailing experience

Graduates then sail away on a weeklong adventure aboard the S/V Denis Sullivan tall ship on the Great Lakes and apply the skills they’ve gained through our program toward becoming a vital member of a dynamic on-board community.

Student applicants must be 13 to 17 years of age.

The Cleveland Rotary Foundation of the Rotary Club of Cleveland and our generous sponsors cover the $1500 per student cost which includes curriculum materials, meals, transportation to and from tall ship voyage, and cost of berth.

Join us at the Recruitment Event for more information. This will be an opportunity for students, their parents and teachers to learn more about our program. A student is not required to attend in order to apply for the program, but it does help them understand what they will be doing.
